Spaces
How spaces organize plans, people, and rules in Weeks.
What a space is
A space groups related planning work inside a team. It is mostly about organizing the same group of people across related plans.
Start with one space when the plans share a staffing pool, admins, or operating rhythm. Add another space only when the separation makes planning clearer.
When to keep one space
Use one space when several plans belong to the same context:
- the same people can be planned across them
- the same planners or admins manage them
- the work follows a shared rhythm
- the plans should be found and reviewed together
When to split spaces
Create a separate space for a different location, department, customer, privacy boundary, or group of planners. A space should be a real planning boundary, not just a label.
Teams
Understand the account-level container around spaces.
Structure your project
Compare common ways to use teams, spaces, plans, slots, and jobs.
Build and staff a plan
Create the plan's slots and jobs, assign people, and archive finished work.
Use the All jobs workspace
Review work across the space and save focused views.
Manage people
Build the shared people pool, link plan people, and resolve duplicates.
Share a schedule
Publish a filtered space overview and optionally let space people join open shifts.
